“El Coleguita” inicio operaciones en 1989 con un sencillo puesto de Mariscos, frente al Cine Bahía en el centro de Puerto Vallarta; desde el principio se da a conocer por la calidez, la atención, su rapidez en el servicio, la frescura y calidad de sus productos como la tan conocida famosa Cazuela Levantamuertos.
Por sugerencia de los clientes en 1993 “El Coleguita” se muda a un local más amplio en la Carretera Ixtapa a las Palmas; en donde el gusto de sus clientes locales, nacionales y extranjeros y la publicidad de boca en boca que ellos mismos realizan; nos reconocen como el “Restaurante de Mariscos el Coleguita” el cual se caracteriza desde la entrada invitar al cliente un consomé de camarón y un shot de Tequila 100% de Agave, cortesía de la casa, después te invitamos a que elijas uno de nuestros platillos como son el Plato Coleguita, Especial de Pescado, Combinación de Camarones y la ya famosa Cazuela Levantamuertos entre otros; y para finalizar, se obsequia un platanito frito en dulce de leche y un Licor de Café.
Actualmente contamos con 2 sucursales; una en el Malecón de la Marina Vallarta; Una en las Nuevo Vallarta Nayarit; las cuales ofrecen un ambiente playero y turístico, logrando posicionarse en el gusto del público mexicano y extranjero.

1989 It all began on a simple seafood stand right in front of Cine Bahia downtown Vallarta in wich from the beginning you get to know the warmth and spontaneity and speed on the service as well as the quality and freshness of all things served putting as the best example of them all the very well known Rise Up From the Casserole.
1993 Due to customer proficiency El Coleguita moves to a wider Location towards Ixtapa on the outskards of the City. In witch, little by little and based on the great demand creates new colors and flavors to begin then on the creation of new Dishes for all customers satisfaction; wich makes Word of mouth primary way for Ixtapas Coleguita to be known and then Vallartas. Beginning like this the naming of Ixtapas Coleguita as “Coleguita #1 and Marinas, Coleguita #2. On top of all characteristics Coleguitas Restaurants have been always known for the flexibility and adaptability to each customers own taste.
1995 Upon great clientele and customer demand and after much sacrifice and effort Coleguita manages to buy a small ground of land -on Ixtapas road towards Las Palmas-which is known now as “Restaurante Mariscos el Coleguita” in which one of its particularities is to be greeted right from the entrance and being handed some Shrimp Soup and a shot of Tequila -100% made of Agave– all courtesy of the House. After that you are handed our Menu that offers you the Coleguita Platter, Fish Specialty, Combination of Shrimp, and the well known Rise up from the Dead Casserole –among others. And to finish -we offer fried plantains covered on condensed milk and a glass of Kalhua –All courtesy of the House!
2004 A new location is opened at Marina Del Rey which quickly takes over the market being then a great success for both foreigners and nationals.
2008 Coleguita Grand opening at La Cruz offers a wider variety on Dishes such as Zarandeado Fish and Clam Soup –both of which have had a great deal of acceptance. Always upon the same goal towards our Customers Satisfaction we will continue to Strive to make your visit something to remember (closed now).
